• Cayenne came at a time when I wanted to create more minimalistic paintings. The strong play of the red color against the black and white base draws attention to the strength of the painting.
  • Cayenne is 24 x 30 inches. It was created with the acrylic pearl process as a test painting for The Phoenix, which is much larger. The color palette is minimalist using only black, white and red. The mixing of the paints during the pour process created some very subtle grays. A red frame accents the red lighting bolt through the center of the painting, although not included with the painting.
